Gigantic Pictures is proud to announce that NIGHT CATCHES US has been picked up by Magnolia Pictures, and will be in theaters this fall.
NIGHT CATCHES US from Writer-Director Tanya Hamilton, is a drama set in 1976 Philadelphia during the aftermath of the black panther movement. Starring Anthony Mackie (THE HURT LOCKER); Kerry Washington (RAY); Wendell Pierce (TREME); and Jamie Hector (THE WIRE), with an original score by The Roots. The film premiered in competition at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
NIGHT CATCHES US is a co-production of Simon Says Entertainment and Gigantic Pictures.
UPDATE - PLASTIC BAG takes the web by storm! EW, Nat Geo, NY Magazine, and dozens of other film and environmental sites are all talking about Ramin Bahrani's tale following the life of a Plastic Bag. The short stars the legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog, and has a score by Kjartan Sveinsson of the band Sigur Ros.
